What is carbon offsetting?

Some CO₂ emissions may be unavoidable and buying carbon offsets (or credits) from Logicor is a way of compensating for the damage caused by these CO₂ emissions. Offsetting contributes towards projects that make an equal reduction in emissions elsewhere. Offsetting won't reverse the damage caused by your emissions but the damage can be balanced by the offset. Before choosing to offset it is important to first avoid then reduce your carbon emission where possible.

How to offset with Logicor...

The first step is to calculate how many tonnes of CO₂ your activities produce with our carbon calculator links. You can pay Logicor to reduce the equivalent amount of CO₂ through its Green Plug energy saving programme. One tonne of carbon purchased from Logicor's Green Plug carbon offset programme will cost £7.50.

Just fill in your details in the form below, stating how much carbon you wish to offset and a Logicor representative will contact you to arrange your carbon offset transaction.

How does Logicor reduce CO₂ emissions?

Our offset credits derive from the annual sale and use of our Green Plug energy saving devices. The total reduction in carbon emissions for each device sold and in use has been independently verified to be 0.701 tonnes of carbon over the plug's lifetime. The volumes of expected and delivered emission reductions from our Green Plug programme will be reviewed and updated throughout the year, matching sales demand. The money is then reinvested in Logicor's energy saving development programme to bring to the market other energy saving devices or projects.

What will you receive?

You will receive a carbon certificate showing your emission reductions with Logicor, as well as reduction tips to help you continue reducing where possible.

How will Logicor invest your credits?

One tonne of carbon purchased from Logicor's Green Plug offset programme will cost £7.50 and the money will be reinvested in Logicor's energy saving development programme to bring to the market other energy saving devices or projects.
