We are pleased to announce that following our application in April for Energy Systems Catapult’s (ESC) Innovator Challenge: Smart Heating and Cooling, Logicor has been invited to sign up to its Innovator Support Platform. We were accepted after a two-day workshop and ESC’s subsequent due diligence process.

Our Managing Director, David Bowen has said "We are very pleased to have been recognised and accepted on Energy System Catapult’s Innovation Support Platform."

“We would like to thank the Catapult team for considering our Clear Heating System for this programme and look forward to working with the team to help support and develop ideas in assisting the acceleration of our system to market."

“As a research and development company, it is great to receive recognition for the progress and developments we have made with our heating system and have the Catapult championing our cause in helping people to reduce energy consumption which in turns helps the environment and helps reduce carbon emissions.”

Our Whole House Solution Gets the Green Light!

    1/8/2019

    Picture
Earlier this year we announced that our testing had started on our new Whole House Solution (WHS), we can now confirm all of our tests have gone as planned and is ready to be launched to the public.

The WHS will involve Logicor installing its products into a home, alongside solar panels and battery storage. The home will use all of the power generated from the solar panels to either charge the battery or power the home directly. Your neighbours will be able to purchase any excess power you have produced at a subsidised price if they also get their energy from Logicor Energy.

If it’s an overcast day and the solar panels can’t produce enough electricity to charge the battery fully then it use the national grid to charge it up, this will make the battery the primary power source for the home.

The cost of our Whole House Solution depends on the size and specification of your property, however for an average 3 bedroom house the cost would be £99 per month over a 20 year period. This includes all of the kit (Clear Heater Panels, InLine Hot Water System, Control Panel, Solar Panels and Battery) and the installation of everything in your property. We will need to survey your property so we can give you a quote.

Through Logicor Energy, we provide customers with the extra energy that may be required to charge the battery. For this we have three different tariffs costing, £4.99, £9.99 and £39.99. This price will be fixed over a period of time depending on the usage.

Before installing the WHS, you must pass a credit check to ensure you can take on the term required.

We hope to have our first commercial WHS installed by the end of this month, with the rest of the properties on our waiting list following suit over the following month.

If you have any further questions about our Whole House Solution, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. Please also don’t forget to like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter for all the latest news and updates.

Boiler Guides "Product of the Month" winners

    9/7/2019

    Picture
We are pleased to announce that our Clear Heater System and InLine Hot Water System have been crowned Boiler Guide’s ‘Product of the Month’ for July. Their team has conducted in-depth research into our products to ensure they are the very best products available to their customers on the market!

Launched in 2007, Boiler Guide's website is seen as the leading online resource of boiler and central heating installers and the go to place for consumers looking for free no obligation quotes to install a new boiler.

They have said “With the government’s zero carbon by 2050 target now officially in place and gas boilers already banned from new builds from 2025, the need to find alternative heating systems is more urgent than ever before”

“Well, it seems Logicor have a potential solution which could be a game-changer. Using the latest in smart communication technology and radiant infrared heat, this highly efficient system can provide all of your heating and hot water through electrical wiring, completely replacing a gas, oil or electrical system”

Commenting on the Boiler Guide review, David Bowen, managing director at Logicor said “Having both our Clear Heater and InLine Hot Water system named products of the month by Boiler Guide is a fantastic accolade. We are proud they have gained this recognition, it’s a great boost for everyone associated with Logicor. Our Clear Heater System is the first infrared heating system to win this award, which backs up our claim that it’s the best one available on the market! “

Logicor awarded the NHS National Framework Agreement for Smart Heating Systems.

    20/6/2019

    Picture
We are pleased to announce that Logicor has been awarded the National Framework Agreement for Smart Heating Systems. The framework was awarded to us by The Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust Commercial Procurement Services and we are the sole supplier under this framework.

The framework offers a fully compliant route for all NHS departments and public sector bodies (social housing landlords, local authorities and government departments) free access to the service. This will now save them the time and money developing, tendering and evaluating bids for the systems.

This framework is designed to offer our highly efficient Clear Heater System to all members. The benefits of this framework include:
    • Multidirectional, phased infra-red heating.
    • Comfortable, evenly heated rooms.
    • Controllable temperature, you can set an overall building temperature with ‘zones’, separated common spaces with ‘links’, or by each individual heater.
    • Controllable to a budget (carbon, cost & kWh) to save energy and money.
    • Real-time system monitoring by Logicor and a dedicated technical support helpline.
    • Zero maintenance required on the system.
    • Comprehensive 20 year warranty on every system.

The system is easy to install with minimal distribution and is scalable across multiple buildings and sites.

If you would like more information about the fully OJEU compliant framework, please visit the Countess of Chester website at https://www.coch-cps.co.uk/our-services/our-frameworks/ (contract F056).

testing on Logicor's Whole house solution underway

    26/3/2019

Today we began the live testing of our new solar and battery, heating and hot water solution which we call our Whole House Solution (WHS). The WHS will involve Logicor installing its products into a home, allowing the customers to pay for them monthly whilst also supplying energy to the entire house. The home will effectively use all of the power it generates from the sun to either charge the battery or power the home directly with excess power being used by the next door neighbour at a subsidised price if they also get their energy from Logicor Energy.

Should the battery need to be charged because there is not enough light to charge it fully, it will be charged from the mains electricity thus making the primary power source for the home the battery. As Logicor’s Clear Heater System is the only phased and pulsed system in the world it is fully capable of running from the power being supplied it by the battery. It’s a system that has been in development for several years now and it’s in the final shake down phase prior to release.

After carefully considering every aspect, we believe this is the next idea for Logicor to take forward and bring to market for our new and existing customer.

From sea levels rising to more extreme weather the threats posed by climate change have never been so obvious. So if our customers can produce their own renewable energy alongside using a highly efficient heating and hot water system’s than this will be the ideal solution to the problem.

As part of our test’s we hope to establish and adverse parameters that may limit the performance of the solar panels and battery storage such that it would inhibit use of this solution. This shake down phase will help us to establish this and with our Clear Heater System now in its sixth year on the market the unique properties it has e.g. pulsed and phased energy, will ensure it doesn’t need to lean on a supply from the homes incoming power rather than the battery.

Early data suggests the performance envelope is being exceeded by the system which is very good news.

We hope to have a further announcement during the summer on whether the tests have been successful; if they have then we will start the installations during this period. If you would like more information on how they will work or would like to be added to our waiting list, then please get in touch with us.

    CONGRATULATIONS DANIEL!

    DEVELOPING PRODUCTS AND PEOPLE

    Picture

Logicor Employee Daniel (Technical support) has just passed his Level 3 diploma in IT and Telecommunications Qualification.

Studying at Wakefield College whilst working for Logicor, Daniel has learned a variety of different subjects ranging from Customer Care in ICT to Technical Advice and Guidance. This will stand him in good stead with his day to day work in the technical support team.

Daniel has said about the course “I am over the moon about passing, when I first started my apprenticeship at Logicor it was daunting talking to customers over the phone and attempting to diagnose issues they might have with their system however over the two years it has taken to complete the course I have gained the skills and knowledge to be able to do this comfortably.”

We would like to congratulate Daniel on this achievement; he first came to Logicor in 2015 as part of his work experience from Royds 6th Form and impressed us with his work ethic so we offered him a two year apprenticeship after he had completed his A Levels.  In this time he has gone from strength to strength to become the most senior member of our technical support team.

At Logicor we always believe in training and helping our staff members to become the best they can be through various internal and external training courses. Supporting Daniel through this course is just one example of how we do this.  We will continue to look for job-specific training courses that will develop both the individual and the business.
